Here are some of the events that take place at WPPS each year.
Announcements about upcoming events are made on the P&C Blog.
Welcome Night (February)
To celebrate the start of the year, and to help new parents meet other parents in the school, the P&C hosts a Welcome Night.
Once a year the P&C coordinate working bees to help tidy up the school. It' a great way to meet other WPPS families and to help the create the best possible environment for our kids.
Painting, planting, weeding, raking, shovelling, building, laughing - you name it, we do it!
Each year our school hosts an open day for grandparents, and other special friends, to visit the school and see what their grandchildren have been learning.
The P&C supports this day by catering with a morning tea, which creates a lovely community social feel.
There is also a fundraising initiative called the "wishing tree" where grandparents and other family members can contribute to to the purchasing of items for the classroom.
Trivia Night – it's infamous!
Every year, the P&C puts on a fabulous trivia night. Prizes, raffles, and of course a themed dress up, and loads of fun!
This is a fabulous annual event, which the whole school community loves. Children perform in various activities, parents can visit classrooms, and the P&C hosts a range of fundraising activities.
Mothers Day & Fathers Day
Every year, the P&C hosts a celebratory Mothers Day gift stall in Term 2 and a Fathers Day BBQ breakfast in Term 3 (as part of the Spring Showcase).
The kids delight in both occasions, and it's a great way to build on the fabulous community spirit we have at school.
Preloved Uniform Sale (every term)
Every term, the P&C runs a preloved uniform sale. This is a great way to save money and purchase quality second hand uniforms.
P&C meetings take place twice a term.
