WPPS Community Funding Request Policy - For review
The P&C wants to recognise great ideas that our parents and students have about enhancing the WPPS experience. Consequently we are proposing that $1,000 of the annual P&C budget be allocated to a new 'WPPS Community Funding Request' program which will help to bring these good ideas to life!
What does this mean exactly?
Current WPPS students and parents / carers can submit an application to receive funding for an initiative that benefits our school community.
Funding could go towards things such as:
- Guest speakers to come to the school to talk to parents and or students
- Purchasing new sport or classroom equipment
- Implementing sustainability and or recycling measures
We have allocated $250 per term.

The policy is designed to allow a) our community to implement great ideas and b) it allows the P&C to assess the requests in a consistent and fair manner.
We are sharing this policy with the WPPS school community for feedback by 9th February 2018. The policy will then be formally approved in the P&C meeting scheduled for 12th of February 2018.
